Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she learned the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. She survived on a student allowance and worked part-time to help supplement her income. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill compared to her student classmates and contemplated a possible alternative route she could take. Lennox started out as musician within the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before the band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977 to 1980. Here she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo first album Diva. The album was released in 1993. The album was an enormous success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out in the month of October 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her favorite blues soul tracks from her the time of her childhood. In addition in May 2019 Lennox published Lepidoptera which is a compilation of four piano pieces that she improvised. The E.P. This is the companion album of her "Now I let you go... artwork which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first independent album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on the 25th of December 1954. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to gain international recognition in the 1980s with the Eurythmics. Lennox started her own solo music career in 1992 with her debut album Diva. It included a number of well-known songs, including walking on Broken Glass and Why. Medusa the studio album released in 1995 includes cover versions of tracks including No MoreI Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums by her solo and one compilation album the result of her efforts.
