Dwayne Douglas

Dwayne Douglas Johnson, more popularly called The Rock was born May 2nd, 1972 in Hayward, California. Ata Johnson, born Feagaimaleata Fitisemanu Maivia is his mother. Professional wrestler Rocky Johnson was his father (born Wayde Doug Bowles). The father of his son Dwayne comes from Amherst (Nova Scotia), Canada. His mother's name is Samoan while her dad is Peter Fanene Maivia. When he was a kid, Dwayne traveled around a lot with his parents and saw his dad perform in the wrestling ring. Dwayne began playing football at high school. Then, he was awarded an award to University of Miami. University of Miami and had great success as a player. Dwayne was hurt in his back and lost his position on the NFL. Dwayne then signed a 3-year agreement with the Canadian League but left after an entire year to pursue a professional wrestling career.
